The California Coastal Commission continued the Dana Point Harbor LCPA on June 11th due to a lack of a quorum which prevented them from conducting the public hearing. The new hearing date is set for the week of October 8, 2009 in Oceanside. The Coastal staff recommended approval of the LCPA; the City of Dana Point and the OC Dana Point Harbor were in agreement with all the staff suggested modifications. So despite the tremendous support by 100 members of DPHN who traveled to the hearing in Marina del Ray, no public testimony was taken by the Commission. We urge you to stay in touch and continue to obtain additional supporters so we are ready for the hearing in October!
